This position involves providing anesthesia services at a medical center, primarily Monday through Friday from early morning to mid-afternoon. The role requires proficiency in a variety of clinical cases including orthopedics, pediatrics, gynecology, gastrointestinal, obstetrics, and regional anesthesia techniques.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia for a range of surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Manage anesthesia care for cases in orthopedics, pediatrics, gynecology, gastrointestinal, and obstetrics.
- Perform regional blocks as needed.
- Maintain patient safety and monitor vital signs throughout procedures.
- Document anesthesia care accurately in the electronic medical record system.
- Collaborate with surgical and medical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Adhere to all credentialing and licensing requirements.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards.
Compensation
- Compensation model: Other (1099 tax status).
Shift & Schedule
- Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm.
- Work hours approximately 9 hours per day.
Requirements
- Board certification in anesthesiology or related specialty.
- Active Oklahoma medical license.
- Experience with general orthopedics, pediatrics, gynecology, gastrointestinal, and obstetrics cases.
- Comfort with performing regional anesthesia blocks.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records, specifically iPad-based systems.
- Ability to credential within approximately 30 days.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Availability to work Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:30 pm.
