We are seeking a full-time Certified Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) to join the Collaborative Anesthesiology Team at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette, Indiana. The role involves providing high-quality anesthesia care across a diverse patient population in a state-of-the-art facility, with opportunities for teaching residents and students. Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a wide variety of cases, excluding major trauma, transplant, and obstetrics.
  • Perform peripheral nerve blocks using ultrasound regional techniques.

  • Manage patients across different age groups, including healthy pediatric patients aged 6 months and older.
  • Utilize advanced medical technology and electronic medical records (CERNER) to document care.
  • Participate in teaching residents and SRNA/SAA students, if desired.
  • Maintain adherence to safety protocols and quality standards in anesthesia delivery.
  • Support a flexible schedule with shifts from 7 am to 3 pm, 5 pm, or 7 pm, based on operational needs.

  • Above-average base salary with annual retention and performance bonuses.

Requirements

  • Certified Anesthesia Assistant (CAA) credential.
  • Active or eligible Indiana license.
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications.
  • Experience with ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve blocks.
  • Excellent communication and team-oriented skills.
  • Compassionate, detail-oriented, and committed to patient care.
  • Willingness to participate in teaching and continuous learning.
  • Ability to work flexible shifts and adapt to a collaborative environment.
  • Strong clinical skills in anesthesia for diverse patient populations.
