The Physician Assistant (PA) will evaluate and manage patients with musculoskeletal and acute or chronic conditions, perform outpatient procedures, assist in surgeries, and collaborate with orthopedic team members. The role involves independent patient assessments, diagnostic testing, postoperative care, and participation in research and educational activities, under the supervision of a physician.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients independently and under physician supervision.
• Perform outpatient procedures including regional anesthesia, tendon repair, incision and drainage, and wound management.
• Assist physicians in examining and diagnosing skeletal and joint issues.
• Order, interpret, and act on test results and treatment plans.
• Administer injections as indicated.
• Provide postoperative patient care.
• Write prescriptions and medical orders.
• Participate in research and educational activities, and collaborate with residents and fellows.

Compensation

Requirements

• Eligibility for licensure as a Physician Assistant in Massachusetts and/or Rhode Island.
• At least 2 years of experience as an orthopedic Physician Assistant or recent graduate with orthopedic experience.

• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Ability to travel to multiple office locations as needed.
