Samaritan Health Services in Corvallis, Oregon, is seeking an experienced Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive women's health care, including prenatal, delivery, and postpartum services. The role involves clinical practice, first assist in cesarean sections, triage, inpatient rounds, and mentoring residents and students within a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide full-scope midwifery care including prenatal, labor, delivery, and postpartum management.
  • Serve as the first call for triage and deliveries, including inpatient rounds and labor management.
  • Assist with cesarean sections and perform limited OB ultrasounds and IUD placements.
  • Collaborate with physicians, family medicine residents, and midwifery students.
  • Participate in centering pregnancy groups and community health initiatives.
  • Manage approximately 15-20 patients per day in the clinic and oversee about 50 births per month.
  • Provide team-oriented, evidence-based care with a focus on high VBAC success rates and low cesarean rates.
  • Contribute to a supportive, patient-centered healthcare environment.
