Physician Assistant Pediatrics

This outpatient pediatric locum tenens position involves providing care to patients from newborns to young adults in a clinic setting. The role features a Monday through Friday schedule with no call or weekend duties, focusing on sick visits and well child checks. The provider will handle an average of 18 to 21 patients per day, including patients with special needs, in a supportive environment with comprehensive benefits.

Responsibilities

• Provide outpatient pediatric care to newborns through young adults in a clinic setting.
• Conduct same-day sick visits and well child checks.
• Manage a patient load of approximately 18 to 21 patients per day.
• Deliver pediatric care including for patients with special needs.
• Maintain documentation and adhere to clinical protocols.
• Collaborate with clinic staff to ensure quality patient care.
• Participate in quality improvement and compliance activities.
• Work Monday through Friday, 8 am to 5 pm, with no call or weekend responsibilities.

Compensation

• Hourly rate between $70.00 and $90.00, based on experience and qualifications.
• Range reflects factors such as position criticality and candidate experience.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Licensed to practice pediatrics in the relevant state.
• Experience with outpatient pediatric care, including newborns and young adults.
• Experience caring for patients with special needs.
• Ability to handle a patient volume of 18-21 patients per day.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a clinic setting with a team-based approach.
• Proficiency in managing sick visits and well child checks.
• Reliable and able to work consistent weekday hours.
• Experience with or willingness to handle diverse pediatric cases.
• Possession of or ability to obtain necessary state licensing and credentials.
