A Level I trauma facility in West Michigan is seeking a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA) for locum tenens coverage. The role involves providing anesthesia services in both inpatient and outpatient settings, with a schedule that includes day shifts, weeknight call, and 24-hour weekend call. The position requires board certification and prescriptive authority, with supervision and medical direction provided as needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide anesthesia services in inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Participate in scheduled day shifts from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
- Respond to weeknight call from 5 p.m. to 7 a.m.
- Cover 24-hour weekend call from Saturday 7 a.m. to Monday 7 a.m.
- Perform anesthesia procedures under supervision and medical direction.
- Manage anesthesia cases with a caseload of approximately 6,544 cases annually.
- Work in a hospital setting with both surgical and procedural responsibilities.
- Maintain compliance with hospital and state regulations, including prescriptive authority.

Requirements
