Seeking a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) physician for locum tenens assignments in a Level IV NICU setting. The role involves providing inpatient neonatal care with support from multidisciplinary teams, working 12-hour shifts with some 24-hour shifts available. The position offers flexible assignments ranging from short-term to long-term, with comprehensive support for licensing, credentialing, and relocation.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient neonatal care in a Level IV NICU setting.
• Manage a patient census of approximately 8 to 12 patients per shift, with a total daily census of around 40.
• Collaborate with advanced practice providers, nurses, neonatology fellows, physicians, pharmacy, and nutrition teams.
• Work 12-hour shifts, with options for 24-hour shifts, on a variable schedule.
• Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and standards of care.
• Complete credentialing and privileging processes within a 120-day timeline.
• Utilize Epic electronic medical records system for documentation.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and patient care planning.

Compensation

• Hourly rate ranging from $83.00 to $105.00, based on experience and assignment specifics.
