The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), including Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP), works in an outpatient pain management setting, collaborating with physicians to care for acute and chronic patients. The role involves working Monday through Friday, with four 10-hour day shifts, and does not require weekend or on-call duties.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with physicians to provide outpatient care for acute and chronic pain patients.
  • Perform services authorized by the supervising or collaborating physician within the scope of practice.
  • Promote quality outcomes and participate in relevant initiatives.
  • Practice within applicable state laws, board regulations, and the terms of the Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA).
  • Work under supervision and in consultation with physicians, performing duties aligned with the physician's normal practice and expertise.

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation model.
  • W-2 tax status.

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday through Friday schedule.
  • Four 10-hour daytime shifts per week.
  • No weekend or on-call responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Master's Degree in a relevant healthcare field.
  • Certification from the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or equivalent.
  • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) or Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) certification as applicable.
  • Registered Nurse (RN) license in Ohio.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and adhere to legal and institutional guidelines.
  • Experience in outpatient pain management or similar specialty preferred.
  • Must have a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a physician.
