Oklahoma Surgical Hospital is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join the Preoperative/Pre Admission Testing Department, focusing on anesthesia services. The role involves conducting pre-anesthesia evaluations, physical exams, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure patient readiness for surgery. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, full-time benefits, and quarterly bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-anesthesia evaluations and physical exams to assess patient readiness for surgery.
• Gather and review medical histories to identify potential anesthesia-related issues.
• Collaborate with surgical, anesthesia, and nursing teams to optimize perioperative care.
• Ensure documentation of patient assessments and communicate findings to relevant team members.
• Participate in multidisciplinary discussions to develop anesthesia care plans.
• Maintain competency in current practices relevant to the unit and patient age groups.
• Adhere to hospital policies and safety protocols related to perioperative care.
• Contribute to a patient-centered environment focused on high-quality care.

Compensation

• Salary plus performance-based incentives and quarterly bonuses.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Current Oklahoma Physician Assistant license required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required upon hire.
• Knowledge of current practices in preoperative and anesthesia-related assessments.
• Experience or competency in performing physical exams and medical history reviews.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
• Commitment to patient safety and quality standards.
• Ability to work Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Experience in a surgical or perioperative setting preferred.
