The Trauma Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Mansfield Hospital collaborates with physicians in the inpatient hospital setting, primarily within the ICU and trauma or surgical units. The role involves managing critically ill and injured patients, performing invasive procedures, and making high-level clinical decisions independently within the scope of practice.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians in the inpatient hospital setting, primarily in ICU, trauma, and surgical units.
• Assess and evaluate patients, including history and physical examinations.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Assist in diagnostic and invasive procedures.
• Provide pre-operative and post-operative care, including writing orders and discharges.
• Promote quality outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Practice within applicable state laws, standard care arrangements, and privileges delineation.
• Notify the Ohio Board of Nursing as required by the standard care arrangement.

Requirements
