The Advanced Practice Provider Lead (NP/PA) at James Cancer Hospital provides clinical care in collaboration with physicians, focusing on acute and chronic illness management, health promotion, and patient education. The role includes mentorship, oversight, and administrative responsibilities related to advanced practice providers within the division.

Responsibilities

• Provide healthcare services to patients during acute and chronic phases of illness, including health promotion and prevention.
• Collaborate with physicians and other clinicians to deliver comprehensive patient care.
• Mentor and oversee advanced practice providers, serving as a liaison between providers and management.
• Perform authorized medical services within the scope of licensure and credentialing requirements.
• Educate and counsel patients and families, referring to community resources as needed.
• Participate in administrative and reporting duties as assigned by department leadership.
• Support professional development of APRNs and PAs within the division.
• Ensure compliance with clinical policies and standards of care.

Compensation

Requirements

• Current Ohio APRN certification or eligibility for Ohio licensure as a PA-C.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA-C program recognized by relevant certifying bodies.
• Master of Science in Nursing or equivalent for APRNs, or PA-C certification for Physician Assistants.
• Minimum of 2 years of relevant clinical experience; 2-4 years preferred.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams.
• Excellent communication and mentoring skills.
• Knowledge of clinical protocols and standards of care.
• Ability to perform medical services authorized by licensure and credentialing.
• Eligible for licensure in Ohio as an APRN or PA-C.
