Veterans Evaluation Services is seeking licensed physicians, nurse practitioners, or physician assistants to perform general medical disability examinations for Veterans as independent contractors. The role involves evaluating and diagnosing health conditions related to military service, supporting Veterans' disability claims, and providing expert medical opinions. Responsibilities

• Conduct medical disability examinations for Veterans, including review of medical and military records.
• Perform face-to-face evaluations and diagnostic testing as needed.
• Gather clinical evidence through interviews and examinations.
• Develop medical opinions regarding the likelihood that a Veteran's condition is related to military service.
• Prepare and submit detailed medical reports in accordance with guidelines.
• Ensure timely completion of examinations and documentation to support Veterans' disability claims.
• Maintain compliance with licensing and professional standards.
• Utilize user-friendly software and support systems provided by VES.

Compensation

• $74,000.00 to $220,000.00 per year.
• Compensation is based on a salary model with potential for significant earnings depending on workload.
• Tax status as 1099 independent contractor.

Requirements

• Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD) or Osteopathic Medicine (DO).
• Active, unrestricted medical license in the state of practice.
• Board eligible or board certified in a relevant specialty.
• Minimum of 2 years of clinical practice experience (preferred).
• Ability to perform face-to-face examinations and review medical records.
• Excellent communication and documentation skills.
• Comfort with using electronic medical record systems and software.
• Reliable internet connection and access to a suitable examination environment.
• Residency within 50 miles of the exam location (e.g., Brimley, MI or Key West, FL).
