The position is for a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant at Ochsner Health in the Central Mississippi Region. Compensation

  • Salary compensation model (W-2 tax status).

Shift & Schedule

  • Variable schedule days with on-call requirements.
  • Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Nursing for Nurse Practitioners or Bachelor's/Master's in Physician Assistant studies for PAs.
  • Current license as an APRN in the state of practice (for Nurse Practitioners) or Physician Assistant license (for PAs).
  • Certification as Family Nurse Practitioner or Adult/Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANPCP) for NPs.
  • Basic Life Support (BCLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications from the American Heart Association.
  • Eligible for prescriptive authority in the state of practice.
  • Proficiency with Windows applications and clinical software, with effective communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation for travel between facilities.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, holidays, and on-call shifts.
  • Physical ability to stand for prolonged periods, perform manual dexterity tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Experience in outpatient care and working within a team-based healthcare environment is preferred but not required.
