St. Lawrence Health is seeking full-time Advanced Practice Providers to serve as Surgical First Assistants, combining operating room duties with medical surgical floor coverage. The role involves managing orders, admissions, discharges, and consults for General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients, with flexible scheduling options including daytime and evening shifts, and call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform Surgical First Assist duties in the operating room.
• Provide medical surgical floor coverage for General Surgery, OB/GYN, and Orthopedic patients.
• Manage patient orders, admissions, discharges, and consults.
• Participate in scheduled shifts, with options for 4 ten-hour shifts or 5 eight-hour shifts per week.
• Provide coverage during daytime and evening hours.
• Respond to call responsibilities as required.

Compensation

• $135,000-$150,000 annually
• Sign-on bonus of $5,000
• Relocation assistance up to $7,500
• $1,000 for licensing and dues
• $2,000 CME allowance

Requirements

• Experience as a Surgical First Assist or similar advanced practice role.
• Current licensure and credentials for practice in the relevant state.

• Strong clinical skills in general surgery, OB/GYN, and orthopedic care.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts and respond to call duties.
• Excellent communication and team collaboration skills.
