The anesthesiologist assistant will collaborate with anesthesiologists to provide anesthesia care across a broad case mix, including orthopedics, spine, general surgery, and urology. The role involves preparing equipment and medications, managing invasive monitoring devices, supporting airway management, and monitoring patient vital signs throughout surgical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist anesthesiologists in administering anesthesia and monitoring patients before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepare anesthesia equipment and medications for procedures.
• Manage invasive monitoring devices such as arterial lines, central lines, and pulmonary artery catheters.
• Support airway management, including intubation and extubation.
• Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
• Document patient care accurately and promptly.
• Assist with patient transport and handoff to the post-anesthesia care unit (PACU).
• Work across a variety of surgical specialties including orthopedics, spine, general, and urology.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation with a signing bonus of $25,000.
