The hospital is seeking a full-time Advanced Practitioner Nights Hospitalist (Nocturnist) to provide overnight inpatient care at a 65-bed hospital in Upstate New York. The role involves managing a patient census of 16-20, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, and responding to medical emergencies in a state-of-the-art facility with an open ICU. Responsibilities

• Provide medical care to hospitalized patients during overnight shifts, including assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure continuous patient care.
• Oversee patient admissions, discharges, and transfers as needed.
• Respond to medical emergencies and work with the code response team.
• Manage complex cases in the open ICU setting using advanced clinical skills.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and coordinate care plans.
• Assist in the transfer of patients requiring specialized care to appropriate facilities.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient care activities.

Compensation

• $130,000 – $150,000 yearly salary
• Salary plus incentives, including sign-on bonus, relocation support, quality bonus, and loan repayment assistance
• Compensation is provided as a W-2 employment arrangement

Requirements

• Master's degree in Nursing or Physician Assistant Studies.
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in New York State.
• Board certification in a relevant specialty (e.g., FNP, ACNP, AGACNP, PA-C).
• ACLS and BLS certifications.
• At least one year of experience in hospitalist or critical care settings preferred.
• Ability to work 7p-7a night shifts on a 7-on, 7-off schedule.
• Comfort with managing a patient census of 15-20 and familiarity with ICU procedures is a plus.
• Strong collaborative and communication skills.
