We are seeking a dedicated Physician Assistant to join our urgent care facility in Ocean City, Maryland. The provider will work alongside physicians and a trained support staff to deliver comprehensive urgent care services to patients of all ages, utilizing advanced diagnostic tools and treatment modalities. The role offers a collaborative environment with on-site physician oversight and a variety of clinical responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients of all ages presenting with a range of urgent care conditions, from minor injuries to acute illnesses.
• Perform laceration repairs, incision and drainage of abscesses, foreign body removal, and toenail removals.
• Manage minor fractures and dislocations, including splinting and stabilization.
• Conduct basic EKGs and interpret X-ray results.
• Support the clinical team with in-house rapid lab testing, digital x-ray imaging, and orthopedic supplies.
• Document patient encounters accurately and maintain clinical records.
• Collaborate with physicians and support staff to ensure efficient patient flow and quality care.
• Participate in continuing medical education and maintain licensure requirements.

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule days, including evenings and weekends as needed.

Requirements

• NCCPA Certification (PA-C) and BLS certification.
• Eligible for Maryland medical license and ACLS certification.
• Ability to see and treat patients of all ages.
• Experience with laceration repairs, abscess I&D, foreign body removal, and toenail removal.
• Familiarity with management of minor fractures and dislocations, including splinting.
• Basic proficiency in EKG and X-ray interpretation.
