This full-time position involves providing direct patient care in a clinic setting under physician supervision. The role includes performing examinations, diagnostics, treatments, and patient education across all age groups, with responsibilities aligned to the scope of practice for an APRN or PA licensed in Kansas.

Responsibilities

• Perform and document physical examinations for patients from neonate to geriatric.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories and psychosocial issues.
• Order, interpret, and explain diagnostic tests and procedures to patients and families.
• Formulate diagnoses and develop treatment plans within scope of practice.
• Administer and prescribe medications and medical devices as permitted by law.
• Perform procedures such as venipuncture, wound care, suturing, cast application/removal, and minor surgical procedures.
• Assist in managing acutely traumatized patients and minor injuries.
• Provide patient and family education on preventative healthcare and treatment plans.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Health Sciences or related field.
• Graduate of an accredited APRN or PA program.
• Licensed as an APRN or PA in the State of Kansas.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
• Current liability insurance coverage.
• Registered with the DEA if applicable.
• Must complete 100 hours of CME every two years and recertify every six years.
• Supervision by a licensed physician is required.
• Ability to perform procedures such as venipuncture, suturing, and minor surgeries.
• Adherence to professional and regulatory standards, including confidentiality and timely documentation.
