This is a locum tenens opportunity for Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to provide coverage at a hospital less than an hour from Columbus, Ohio. The role involves both day and night shifts, with responsibilities including rounding, admissions, and cross-cover duties, supporting a team of physicians and other advanced practice providers.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care during day and night shifts, including rounding and admissions as needed.
• Perform cross-cover duties during night shifts, including admissions if time permits.
• Collaborate with a team of physicians and advanced practice providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage a patient census averaging 150 patients per day.
• Follow hospital protocols and procedures, with no specific procedures required for this role.
• Maintain documentation and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
• Work a flexible schedule with variable hours and shifts.
• Start date: June 11th.

Compensation

• $90 per hour for day shifts
• $95 per hour for night shifts
• Referral incentive of $500 for successful candidate referrals
• Compensation is on a 1099 basis

Shift & Schedule

• Variable schedule with 12-hour shifts
• Shifts include day (7 a.m. to 7 p.m.) and night (7 p.m. to 7 a.m.)
• Availability required at least 5 days per month, longer periods preferred
• Start date: June 11th

Requirements

• Active Ohio medical license preferred; consideration given to candidates willing to obtain one.
• Board certification or eligibility (BC/BE) as an NP or PA.
• Availability to work at least 5 shifts per month, with preference for longer periods.
• Experience in hospital or acute care settings preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and handle a variable schedule.
• Comfort with rounding, admissions, and cross-cover duties.
• Current CV or resume required for application.
