The Physician Assistant Studies Adjunct Faculty member is responsible for teaching and evaluating both the academic and clinical components of the PA program. Under the supervision of the Program Director, the role involves delivering instruction, assessing student performance, and participating in faculty and community activities. Compensation is provided per course or lecture, and the position is non-exempt.

Responsibilities

• Provide student instruction in assigned courses
• Develop and evaluate student performance in both the didactic and clinical phases
• Conduct teaching in courses where the faculty member is not the primary instructor (e.g., labs, OSCEs, clinical year curriculum)
• Participate in all aspects of the program's self-study process
• Counsel and advise students
• Participate in faculty-directed activities within the university system
• May participate in community outreach activities

Compensation

• Paid per course or lecture assigned
• Compensation model classified as 'Other'
• Tax status: W-2

Requirements

• Masters degree as a PA-C or MD/DO
• Current PA national certification and eligibility for licensure in Nevada
• Current MD/DO board certification and eligibility for licensure in Nevada
• At least three years of clinical experience
• Previous education experience preferred
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Established leadership and supervisory skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Flexible, resilient, and positive demeanor
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
