This employed hospitalist position at Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto in Southaven, Mississippi, involves providing inpatient care across a 339-bed facility with a diverse patient population. Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient medical care to hospitalized patients in a 339-bed acute care hospital.
• Respond to emergency codes and rapid response team activations.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physicians, nurse practitioners, and physician assistants.
• Utilize the EPIC electronic medical record system for documentation and order entry.
• Participate in scheduled shifts, including day, swing, and night rotations, with variable hours and call responsibilities.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies and clinical standards.
• Contribute to patient care planning and interdisciplinary communication.
• No procedures are required as part of this role.

Compensation

• Physician commencement bonus up to $25,000.

Requirements

• Board-certified or eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine.
• Licensed or eligible for licensure in Mississippi.
• FNP, ACNP, or AGACNP accepted; new graduates are welcome to apply.

• Experience responding to emergency codes and RRTs preferred.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to work in a fast-paced inpatient environment.
