Parkview Cardiology in Fort Wayne, Indiana, is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to provide outpatient and inpatient cardiac care. The role involves managing patient appointments, follow-up on test results, and participating in quality improvement initiatives within a collaborative team environment at a state-of-the-art medical center.

Responsibilities

  • Manage outpatient and inpatient patient care, including appointments and follow-up on laboratory and imaging results.
  • Participate in care improvement initiatives and quality improvement projects.
  • Handle patient calls and messages via in-box management.
  • Collaborate with a team of 30 physicians and 22 advanced practice providers.
  • Work at PRMC and outreach clinics, including every 8th weekend inpatient rotations.
  • Follow established protocols for inpatient and outpatient care.
  • Utilize critical thinking and multitasking skills to serve patients effectively.
  • Engage in professional development and quality initiatives as part of the care team.

Compensation

  • Salary commensurate with experience.
  • W-2 employment tax status.

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8-hour days, dayshift schedule.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Master of Science in Nursing program (DNP optional).
  • Current or pending state license for Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse.
  • Current or pending certification by an approved professional certification organization.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience as a Nurse Practitioner preferred.
  • Certifications such as BLS (AHA), ACLS/ACLS-EP, PALS, ATLS, or CSR as required by the specialty.
  • Ability to collaborate with interdepartmental teams and community organizations.
  • Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Experience in outpatient and inpatient settings preferred.
  • Commitment to quality improvement and patient-centered care.
