The University of Utah is seeking an anesthesia professional to join its team, providing comprehensive anesthesia care within a tertiary level 1 trauma center, regional cancer hospital, and outpatient surgical settings. Responsibilities

  • Provide anesthesia care for a diverse patient population across multiple clinical settings, including trauma, cancer, and outpatient surgeries.

  • Manage preoperative assessments, intraoperative anesthesia, and postoperative recovery.
  • Utilize state-of-the-art equipment and pharmacy support to deliver full-spectrum anesthesia care.
  • Participate in on-call duties approximately once per month, with flexible scheduling.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of anesthesia care and patient records.
  • Adhere to institutional protocols and safety standards.
  • Engage in continuous quality improvement and professional development activities.

Compensation

  • $190,000 - $210,000 annual salary
  • Additional income through sign-on bonus and CME allowance
  • Salary paid via W-2 tax status

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) with board certification or eligibility in anesthesiology.
  • Current medical license to practice in Utah or eligible for licensure.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Excellent communication and clinical skills.
  • Experience in a tertiary or trauma center is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
  • Flexibility to work day shifts with on-call responsibilities.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
