The Emergency Responders Health Center in Boise, Idaho, is seeking full-time Family/Internal Medicine physicians to provide comprehensive outpatient care for first responders and their families. The role involves delivering preventive, occupational, and primary care in a multidisciplinary outpatient setting, with opportunities for mentorship, specialized protocols, and collaboration with various health professionals. The position includes a focus on wellness, occupational health, and advanced screenings tailored to a public safety population.

Responsibilities

• Provide broad-spectrum outpatient primary and preventive care, including annual wellness exams, occupational and sports medicine, and mental health screening.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including physical therapists, exercise physiologists, mental health professionals, massage therapists, and acupuncturists.
• Participate in a paid, informal two-month fellowship to learn specialized protocols related to first responder occupational health.
• Support advanced cardiac and cancer screening procedures, including exercise stress testing and ultrasound-based diagnostics.
• Deliver patient-centered care with comprehensive visits and longer appointment times.
• Adhere to ERHC's standards for depth-of-care and preventive wellness services.
• Engage in ongoing mentorship and independent study to master specialized clinical protocols.
• Travel periodically to scenic Idaho locations and participate in a summer rotation in Valdez, Alaska.

Shift & Schedule

• Full-time schedule, typically four days per week.

Requirements

• MD or DO credentials; Board Certification in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine preferred.
• Willingness to undergo mentorship and training in exercise physiology, cardiac stress testing, and ultrasound screening.
• Interest in adopting ERHC’s patient-centered, depth-of-care standards.
• Participation in a two-month paid fellowship and ongoing professional development.
• Licensure to practice in Idaho or Washington (NP/PA considered).
• Experience or interest in occupational health, first responder medicine, or sports medicine is desirable.
• Ability to work a full-time schedule, including weekdays and rotating Saturday clinics.
• Willingness to travel for clinic opportunities and participate in summer rotations.
• Commitment to providing comprehensive, preventive, and specialized outpatient care.
