The Epilepsy Outpatient Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner at Westchester Medical Center is a full-time, outpatient-focused role within the neurology department. The position involves evaluating and managing patients in the epilepsy clinic, collaborating with epileptologists and multidisciplinary teams, and participating in outpatient workflows and device management. The role offers opportunities for professional growth within an academic environment, with no night or weekend shifts required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and follow patients in the epilepsy outpatient clinic.
• Coordinate care with Epilepsy Monitoring Unit (EMU) attendings and faculty.
• Manage routine follow-up visits, patient education, medication adjustments, and pre- and post-procedural care.
• Collaborate with front desk, EEG, and surgical teams to optimize outpatient workflows.
• Assist in device management and neuromodulation protocols.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and care planning.
• Support program expansion and quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain documentation and ensure compliance with clinical standards.

Compensation

• Salary range of $62.23 to $73.05 per hour ($62,230 to $73,050 annually).

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Board-certified Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner eligible for NYS licensure.
• Experience in neurology or academic medicine preferred; new graduates considered.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team.

• Willing to obtain or hold current BLS certification.
