The Advanced Practice Provider (APP), including Physician Assistant (PA) or Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN), works in collaboration with physicians in a hospital inpatient setting, primarily in the Intensive Care Unit or as a surgical first assist. The role involves performing invasive procedures, making independent clinical decisions, and ensuring quality patient outcomes under applicable supervision agreements.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with physicians and perform services authorized within the scope of practice and supervision agreements.
• Work in inpatient settings, primarily in the ICU or as a surgical first assist across various specialties.
• Perform invasive procedures and make independent clinical decisions.
• Promote quality outcomes and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
• Practice within applicable state laws, professional standards, and delineated privileges.
• Operate under a Supervision Agreement (SA) or Standard Care Arrangement (SCA) with a supervising physician.
• Provide patient care in accordance with hospital policies and clinical protocols.
• Maintain certification and stay current with clinical best practices.

Compensation

Requirements

• Current ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.
• Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in Ohio.
• Ability to work variable shifts, typically 8 hours per day.
• Experience in inpatient or critical care settings preferred.
• Ability to perform invasive procedures and make autonomous clinical decisions.
• Knowledge of applicable state laws and professional standards.
• Supervision or collaboration agreement with a licensed physician.
