The Gregory Rhodes MD Cancer Center in Walnut Creek, CA, is seeking a board-certified Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant with at least one year of oncology and/or infusion experience. The role involves overseeing order verifications, submissions, supervising technician preparation, and responding to drug information inquiries within a collaborative oncology practice. The position offers a flexible, primarily daytime schedule with potential for full-time employment in the future.

Responsibilities

• Oversee order verifications and submissions for oncology infusions.
• Supervise technician preparation of infusion medications.
• Respond to drug information questions from staff and patients.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including oncologists, nurses, and pharmacists.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation within electronic health records.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives as needed.
• Provide patient education and support related to infusion treatments.

Compensation

• Base salary range of $185,000 to $225,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Salary is exclusive of bonuses and benefits.
• Compensation is structured as a W-2 salary.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday daytime hours.
• Flexible part-time schedule with potential to increase to full-time in the future.
• No evenings or weekends required.

Requirements

• Board certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Minimum of 1 year of oncology and/or infusion experience.
• Experience with EPIC and Beacon electronic health record systems preferred.
• Current state licensure in California.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy standards.
