Spartanburg Regional Healthcare System in South Carolina is seeking a full-time Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant to join their anesthesia team. The role involves providing anesthesia care across diverse clinical settings, with opportunities for teaching and mentorship within a collaborative environment. Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for a diverse case mix across multiple hospital departments, including OR, Endoscopy, Cath Lab, L&D, MRI, and IR.
• Collaborate with a team of approximately 30 anesthesiologists and 90 CAAs/CRNAs.
• Participate in a dedicated call team for night and weekend coverage.
• Mentor and teach anesthesia students and residents as part of the local MHSA program.
• Utilize EPIC EMR for documentation and patient management.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and quality of care.
• Contribute to a team managing approximately 17,500 cases annually at the Level 1 Trauma Center.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and mentorship during a 4-6 week orientation period.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited anesthesiologist assistant educational program.
• Current certification as a Certified Anesthesiologist Assistant (CAA).
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and clinical skills.
• Experience with EPIC EMR preferred.
• Willingness to participate in a variable schedule including night and weekend call coverage.
