Adfinitas Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join the Hospitalist team at University of Maryland Capital Region in Largo, Maryland. The role involves providing inpatient care, including admitting patients, performing physical exams, ordering tests, diagnosing, conducting hospital rounds, and planning discharges within a state-of-the-art hospital setting.

Responsibilities

• Admit and manage inpatient hospital patients.
• Perform physical examinations and order diagnostic tests.
• Diagnose medical conditions and develop treatment plans.
• Conduct hospital rounds to monitor patient progress.
• Coordinate discharge planning and patient follow-up.
• Collaborate with hospital staff and specialty teams.
• Participate in hospital quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.

Compensation

• $125,000 – $155,000 yearly salary.
• Additional income opportunities include CME allowance and productivity bonuses.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Acute Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
• Minimum of 18 months of acute care experience as an advanced practice provider in hospitalist or similar setting.
• Active Maryland state license.
• American Heart Association CPR certification.
• DEA license and state Controlled Substance Registration.
• Excellent clinical and communication skills.
