The Clinical Nurse Manager in the Neuro Critical Care Unit oversees the delivery of evidence-based patient care, providing clinical leadership, staff management, and operational oversight. The role involves coordinating multidisciplinary care, participating in quality improvement initiatives, and supporting professional development within a night shift schedule.

Responsibilities

• Assist the manager in ensuring the delivery of safe, evidence-based patient care and documentation in the medical record.
• Coordinate nursing care with other healthcare disciplines and support continuous quality improvement activities.
• Participate in staffing planning, scheduling, and resource allocation based on patient volume and care needs.
• Maintain daily unit operations, including staffing, patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
• Contribute to recruitment, staff evaluation, orientation, training, and professional development.
• Support fiscal management by utilizing resources efficiently and assisting in service development.
• Engage in interprofessional collaboration, participate in hospital committees, and support shared decision-making.
• Promote a culture of safety, quality, and evidence-based practice, including participation in research activities.

Compensation

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (required).
• Current RN licensure through the Ohio Board of Nursing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• 2-3 years of nursing experience in related or similar roles.
• Previous leadership experience such as precepting, charge nurse, or clinical lead.
• Specialized knowledge in nursing processes and clinical skills.
• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in computer applications relevant to nursing practice.
• Ability to work night shifts (scheduled hours: 8 hours, variable schedule).
