We are seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our multidisciplinary sleep medicine team in Detroit, MI. The role involves evaluating, diagnosing, and managing sleep disorders in an outpatient setting, with a focus on patient education and long-term wellness. The position offers a full-time, daytime schedule with no on-call responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform clinical assessments including physical exams, patient history, and sleep-specific evaluations
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as sleep studies, oximetry, and laboratory work
  • Initiate and monitor therapies like CPAP/BiPAP, oral appliances, and behavioral interventions
  • Provide follow-up care and adjust treatment plans based on patient progress and compliance
  • Counsel patients and caregivers on sleep health, adherence, and long-term outcomes
  • Document patient encounters accurately and promptly within the EMR system
  • Collaborate with sleep physicians, dental staff, treatment coordinators, and administrative personnel
  • Participate in care team meetings and case reviews to optimize patient outcomes

Compensation

  • Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status)

Shift & Schedule

  • Monday through Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM
  • Daytime hours with no evenings or weekends
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Patient volume up to 24 patients per day, including new consultations, follow-ups, and therapy titrations
  • In-person outpatient clinic setting across multiple locations

Requirements

  • Active licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
  • National Board Certification (AANP, ANCC, NCCPA)
  • Current BLS certification (ACLS preferred but not required)
  • Minimum of 1 year of clinical experience; experience in internal medicine, family practice, ENT, pulmonology, or sleep medicine is a plus
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems and digital workflows
  • Independent clinical judgment and critical thinking skills
  • Proactive approach to patient care
