Intermountain Health is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Pediatric Critical Care team at Primary Children's Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah. The role involves providing specialized care for pediatric patients in the ICU and cardiovascular ICU, working collaboratively with physicians and multidisciplinary teams. The APP will participate in advanced procedures and work primarily night shifts, with opportunities for additional shifts during respiratory season.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to pediatric patients in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit and cardiovascular ICU.
• Participate in formulation of care plans in collaboration with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
• Perform advanced procedures such as ECMO, intubations, chest tube placements, and mechanical circulatory support device insertions.
• Work primarily night shifts in 12-hour increments, with potential for additional shifts during respiratory season.
• Work in a quaternary care center managing severely ill and injured pediatric patients, including referrals from distant locations.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, certification, and hospital policies.
• Contribute to a collaborative team environment focused on high-quality patient outcomes.
• Support hospital initiatives and continuous professional development.

Compensation

• Hourly rate ranging from $62.44 to $96.34, dependent on experience.
• Compensation includes shift differentials ranging from 10% to 50% for evening, night, weekend, and holiday shifts.
• Additional income opportunities during respiratory season based on patient volume and department needs.

Shift & Schedule

Requirements

• Current state license as an Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA).
• Certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant.
• Utah State Controlled Substance License.
• Federal DEA Certificate II through V.
• BLS Certification for Healthcare Providers.
• PALS certification.
• At least 2 years of Pediatric ICU clinical experience.
• Ability to work night shifts and participate in a team-oriented environment.
• Strong procedural skills including intubation and circulatory support procedures.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
