Obstetrics and Gynecology Associates of Central Florida is seeking a full-time Certified Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive women's health services, including prenatal, family planning, and preventive care, in Kissimmee, Florida. The role involves collaboration with physicians and staff, delivering approximately 40-50 deliveries per month at Advent Health Celebration Hospital, and participating in a balanced work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Provide pre- and post-natal care, family planning services, and patient education.
  • Perform patient examinations, screenings, treatments, and document health histories.
  • Prescribe medications, therapies, and order/interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Identify, evaluate, and address disease prevention and health promotion issues.
  • Work independently and collaboratively with physicians and staff, providing leadership within the practice.
  • Educate patients and families about preventive care and medical treatments.
  • Manage a patient load of approximately 20-25 patients daily.
  • Participate in a reasonable call schedule that supports work-life balance.

Requirements

  • Active and unrestricted state RN license.
  • Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) credential from AMCB.
  • Graduate of an ACNM-accredited nurse-midwifery program (MS/MSN degree).
  • Current CPR and NALS certifications.
  • Ability to obtain or hold a current DEA license.
  • One year of full-time labor and delivery RN experience (preferred).
  • At least 1-2 years of labor and delivery nursing experience.
  • Strong clinical skills in women's health and obstetrics.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
