The Medical Director of the Physician Assistant Program at Concordia University is responsible for overseeing curriculum development, clinical site acquisition, and student assessment. The role includes supporting didactic instruction, facilitating clinical partnerships, and participating in program accreditation and evaluation activities. This is a part-time faculty position requiring clinical expertise and experience in medical education.

Responsibilities

• Participate in curriculum design, review, and assessment to ensure alignment with current medical practices.
• Support accreditation efforts and contribute to program planning and development.
• Assist in identifying, procuring, and maintaining clinical sites; serve as liaison between clinical partners and the program.
• Support student evaluation through development of assessment tools and participation in performance reviews.
• Teach up to 10 Teaching Credits per year in areas of clinical expertise.
• Participate in faculty meetings, student selection, and faculty recruitment processes.
• Provide medical guidance and remedial instruction to PA students as needed.
• Assist in program and student performance evaluation, including clinical and didactic components.

Requirements

• Master’s or Doctorate degree in Physician Assistant studies, or MD, DO, or DPM degree.
• Current active licensure as PA-C, MD, DO, or DPM with practice experience.
• Board certification or eligibility.
• Minimum of 5 years of clinical practice experience.
• Effective communication and organizational skills.
• Experience in medical education and clinical teaching.
• Ability to support the mission and values of Concordia University.
