The Per Diem Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) will provide obstetrical, neonatal, and gynecological care within their scope of practice in Phoenix, Arizona. The role involves managing labor, postpartum rounds, OB triage, and vaginal deliveries, collaborating with a team of CNMs and MDs under supervision. The position offers flexible scheduling with a minimum of two 24-hour shifts per month and includes potential loan repayment and sign-on bonuses.

Responsibilities

• Perform obstetrical, neonatal, and gynecological procedures within the scope of a CNM.
• Manage labor and delivery, including vaginal deliveries.
• Conduct postpartum rounds and OB triage assessments.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers in patient care.
• Participate in call rotation with the CNM group, minimum of two 24-hour shifts per month.
• Provide patient education and counseling related to obstetric and gynecological health.
• Ensure documentation and compliance with clinical protocols and standards.
• Work within the scope of practice authorized for CNMs under supervision.

Compensation

• Hourly rate between $49.00 and $72.00, based on experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year CNM experience; 2 years preferred.
• Current Arizona Advanced Practice Nurse (APN) license.
• Certification as a CNM by the American Midwifery Certification Board.
• Prescriptive authority and DEA license required.
• CT CPRBLS certification mandatory; CT ACLS preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, computer, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
• Experience with OB triage, postpartum care, and labor management.
• Flexibility to participate in call rotation and variable schedule.
• Knowledge of obstetrical and gynecological clinical practices.
