The Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) at CHRISTUS Trinity Clinic in Alice, Texas, provides comprehensive women's health care services, including prenatal, intrapartum, postpartum, gynecologic, and family planning care. The role involves managing low-to-moderate risk obstetrical and gynecological patients, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members, and leading patient education initiatives. The CNM ensures quality care delivery in a supportive, team-based environment.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient history, interpret test results, and implement care protocols independently.
• Partner with physicians to diagnose and manage obstetric and gynecologic patients according to established guidelines.
• Lead and advise healthcare team members, including nurses, case managers, and social workers.
• Communicate findings and care plans to patients and team members through documentation and verbal updates.
• Evaluate patient responses to treatments and revise care plans collaboratively with physicians as needed.
• Identify educational needs of patients and families; provide tailored education and support informed decision-making.
• Perform advanced procedures verified for competency and ensure proper documentation of clinical activities.
• Participate in ongoing educational activities to maintain licensure and enhance clinical skills.

Compensation

• Salary commensurate with experience.

Shift & Schedule

• Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
• Day shift hours.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Nursing (MSN).
• 2-3 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Midwife.
• Current APRN license in Texas, with CNM certification.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team.
• Strong communication and patient education skills.
• Knowledge of obstetric and gynecologic care standards and protocols.
• Commitment to quality improvement and patient safety standards.
• Proficiency in documentation and clinical record-keeping.
