MaineGeneral Medical Center is seeking a full-time Physician Assistant to join their nephrology team. The role involves inpatient hospital rounding, dialysis rounding at multiple off-site locations, and outpatient clinic work in Augusta and Waterville. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no night, weekend, or evening call, and provides comprehensive benefits and competitive compensation.

Responsibilities

• Provide diagnostic, therapeutic, and preventive healthcare services under physician supervision for patients with nephrology conditions.
• Perform inpatient hospital rounds at the medical center in Augusta.
• Conduct dialysis rounding at off-site locations in Gardiner, Skowhegan, Fairfield, and Augusta.
• Manage outpatient clinic visits in Augusta and Waterville.
• Collaborate with physicians and advanced practitioners to develop and implement patient care plans.
• Participate in patient education and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters and treatment plans.
• Adhere to clinical protocols and standards of care established by the nephrology team.

Requirements

• Current Physician Assistant licensure in the State of Maine.
• Certification as a Physician Assistant (PA).
• Experience or interest in nephrology or related specialties preferred.
