The Physician Assistant (PA) at Coastal Vascular & Vein Center provides patient-centered care focused on the diagnosis, treatment, and management of lower extremity conditions and wounds. The role involves clinical assessment, ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, and educating patients to improve outcomes in wound care and related vascular conditions.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients and review medical records.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests such as bloodwork and x-rays.
• Diagnose health conditions and illnesses.
• Propose and implement wound management treatments, including debridement and topical care.
• Prescribe medications and order durable medical equipment for wound healing.
• Educate patients and families on wound care and health management.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation.
• Attend meetings to improve wound care processes and perform other duties within scope of practice.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation (W-2 tax status).

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Current and unrestricted Physician Assistant license in South Carolina.
• Proven clinical experience as a PA, including in hospital, ER, or similar settings.
• Minimum of 1-3 years of experience in wound care (preferred).
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities.
• Strong ethical standards and integrity.
• Knowledge of health and patient care regulations.
• Team-oriented attitude with a positive approach.
