The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA-C) will provide comprehensive cardiology care in outpatient and inpatient settings in Glenwood Springs and Grand Junction, Colorado. The role involves patient assessments, care planning, and performing specialized procedures such as stress testing and tilt table testing, with responsibilities including inpatient rounding and outpatient clinic duties.

Responsibilities

• Performs comprehensive patient assessments.
• Ensures safe, high-quality patient care.
• Identifies complications proactively and communicates findings.
• Conducts outpatient clinic visits.
• Provides inpatient rounding and consults.
• Performs stress testing (echo, exercise, nuclear, dobutamine).
• Supervises tilt table testing.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience as an NP or PA in a related field, preferably cardiology outpatient.
• Master's degree in nursing or completion of a PA program from an accredited institution.
• Unrestricted APN or PA license in Colorado (DORA).
• DEA license.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications from the American Heart Association, with cards in hand before start date.
• Ability to function independently.
• Strong skills in general health care and cardiovascular patient assessment and examination.
• Experience with stress testing and tilt table testing is preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to delegate and coordinate care effectively.
