Envision Physician Services is seeking a full-time Certified Anesthesiology Assistant to join the anesthesia care team at HCA Florida Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida. The role involves providing anesthesia services across a variety of surgical specialties in a well-equipped hospital setting, with opportunities for autonomy in regional anesthesia procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide anesthesia care for approximately 12,000 annual cases across multiple surgical disciplines including General, Orthopedics, Plastics, ENT, Urology, Vascular, Neuro, and Gynecology.
• Perform regional anesthesia techniques such as spinals and epidurals, as well as arterial line placements.
• Collaborate with a team of 19 physicians and 22 anesthesia health practitioners within the anesthesia care team model.
• Manage anesthesia cases in 10 main operating rooms, as well as in specialized areas such as Endoscopy, Electrophysiology, and Labor & Delivery.
• Work flexible schedules with 8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts, with evenly distributed call duties.
• Participate in call coverage approximately one weekend every 7-8 weeks; weekday call is infrequent and variable.
• Maintain high standards of patient safety and anesthesia quality in a hospital setting.
• Adhere to hospital policies and anesthesia protocols, ensuring compliance with clinical guidelines.

Compensation

• Salary-based compensation with a signing bonus of $45,000.
• Additional income through CME allowance.
• Compensation is provided via W-2 employment.

Requirements

• Certified Anesthesiology Assistant certification from an accredited program.
• Current state licensure or eligibility to practice in Florida.
• Experience with regional anesthesia techniques including spinals, epidurals, and arterial lines.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Excellent communication and clinical skills.
• Flexibility to work variable shifts and participate in call rotation.
• Prior experience in a hospital-based anesthesia setting preferred.
• Knowledge of anesthesia equipment and safety protocols.
• Strong commitment to patient safety and quality care.
• Ability to adapt to a fast-paced surgical environment.
