Urgent Care Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner to provide urgent care services at our Brooklyn, NY location. The provider will examine, diagnose, and treat patients, order diagnostic tests, prescribe medications, and maintain medical records under physician supervision. The role involves working primarily evening shifts with varied hours, supporting a community-focused healthcare environment.

Responsibilities

• Interview, examine, and diagnose patients' injuries and illnesses.
• Order and interpret diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe medications and recommend lifestyle modifications.
• Review and document patients' medical histories and progress.
• Provide documentation for insurance purposes.
• Educate and counsel patients and their families.
• Work under the supervision of a physician in an urgent care setting.
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure quality patient care.

Compensation

• Hourly pay rate between USD 75.00 and 95.00.
• W-2 employment tax status.

Shift & Schedule

• Mostly 12 p.m. to 12 a.m. shifts, with some variation.
• Open hours include Fridays 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays 9 p.m. to 1 a.m.
• Variable schedule days and hours.

Requirements

• Previous experience in an Emergency Room or Urgent Care setting.
• Ability to examine patients, diagnose conditions, and provide treatment.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
• Licensed Physician Assistant or Family Nurse Practitioner credentialing.
• Ability to work evening shifts, primarily 12 p.m. to 12 a.m., with some variations.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, community-oriented environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and professionalism.
• Knowledge of diagnostic testing and medication prescribing protocols.
• Ability to maintain accurate medical documentation.
