The Annex Teen Clinic is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Nurse Midwife to provide comprehensive sexual health services to young adults up to age 25. The role involves patient examinations, diagnostic testing, therapeutic procedures, health education, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team in a patient-centered, inclusive environment dedicated to youth and LGBTQ+ populations.

Responsibilities

• Examine patients, take medical histories, record findings, and develop preliminary diagnoses or follow-up plans.
• Administer and interpret diagnostic tests such as wet mounts, urine dips, and blood work.
• Perform procedures including intrauterine device insertion/removal, injections, pap smears, and infection management.
• Consult with supervising physicians regarding treatment plans and exercise professional judgment in patient care.
• Develop and implement patient care plans, provide counseling, and document progress.
• Prescribe medications within state and clinic regulations.
• Provide health education on topics such as family planning, diet, emotional health, and health maintenance.
• Assist with emergency treatments and complex procedures as needed.

Compensation

• $48 - $53 per hour (W-2 model).
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Requirements

• Master's degree or higher in Nursing.
• Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
• Valid First Aid certification.
• Active, unencumbered Minnesota RN and APN license; ability to obtain additional state licenses if necessary.
• National board certification as an Advanced Practice Nurse, Certified Nurse Midwife, or Physician Assistant.
• At least one year of experience in youth health, education, or public health.
• Two or more years of experience providing sexual health services, counseling, and referrals, especially with LGBTQ+ populations.
• Ability to exercise independent clinical judgment and communicate effectively.
• Strong interpersonal skills to work with diverse populations and team members.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
