Locum Anesthesiology Assistants are sought for ongoing, part-time/contract work near Vander, NC. The role involves providing anesthesia support across various specialties in a hospital setting, with supervision by MDs and a CRNA-to-MD ratio of 5:1. Candidates must be prepared to work full-time shifts of 8 or 10 hours, with credentialing expected within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist with anesthesia procedures across multiple specialties including General, Neuro, Gynecology, Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, ENT, Plastics, Podiatry, and Urology.
• Work in a hospital environment with paper charting system and 5 anesthesia rooms.
• Provide anesthesia support under supervision of MDs; MDs do not perform their own cases.
• Cover full-time shifts of 8 or 10 hours, with variable scheduling.
• Obtain and maintain necessary state licensing; NC license preferred.
• Participate in credentialing process, expected to complete within 90 days.
• Work with a team where MDs supervise CRNAs at a ratio of 5 to 1.
• Support ongoing anesthesia services with no expectation of overtime but with potential for it.

Compensation

• Hourly pay with competitive rates.
• Additional compensation includes housing, car rental, gas, mileage (driving own car), parking, tolls, baggage fees.

• Referral bonus of $500 for each referral who works 30 days.

Requirements

• Doctoral degree (PhD, DNP, MSN/MSRN) in a relevant field.
• Ability to obtain North Carolina state license (license not required at start).
• Experience or training in anesthesiology support preferred.
• Willingness to work variable schedules, including full-time shifts of 8 or 10 hours.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently within supervision protocols.
• Must pass credentialing process within 90 days.
• Must have or be able to obtain malpractice insurance coverage.
• Candidates must be comfortable working with paper charting systems.
• Must be eligible to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
