Avery Road Treatment Center in Rockville, MD, is seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner to provide comprehensive patient care. The role involves performing physical exams, creating and modifying care plans, administering treatments, and collaborating with healthcare teams to support patients' health and recovery.

Responsibilities

• Perform physical exams and patient observations.
• Record patients' medical histories and symptoms.
• Create and contribute to patient care plans.
• Order, administer, and analyze diagnostic tests.
• Monitor and operate medical equipment.
• Diagnose health issues and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments.
• Consult with healthcare professionals and families, and train patients and families in health management.

Requirements

• Master's degree from an accredited nursing program.
• RN licensure in Maryland or a compact party state, and board certification by ANCC or AANP.
• APN authorization to practice family health in Maryland.
• Prescriptive authority.
• Experience providing care in substance abuse treatment facilities.
• Proficiency with medical instruments and equipment.
• Knowledge of medical records systems and data management software.
• Understanding of federal and state healthcare regulations, including HIPAA and OSHA.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of disease prevention strategies.
