Sarasota Memorial Health Care System is a community-owned, not-for-profit regional referral health system based in Sarasota, Florida. The system operates two full-service hospitals (the Sarasota campus with roughly 895 beds and the SMH-Venice campus with about 110 beds), a freestanding emergency center in North Port, a comprehensive outpatient network, long-term care and rehabilitation services, a cancer institute, behavioral health pavilion, and multiple urgent care and physician practice sites. The system supports graduate medical education programs in partnership with Florida State University College of Medicine and reports a broad specialty mix including heart and vascular, trauma, cancer, orthopedics and neuroscience.
