San Joaquin General Hospital is a county-owned, acute care teaching hospital located in French Camp, California. The hospital operates a roughly 152‑bed medical center with Level II trauma services and a Level III neonatal intensive care unit, and provides inpatient general medical and surgical care, high-risk obstetrics, pediatrics, critical care, and outpatient primary care and specialty clinics. SJGH hosts residency programs in family medicine, internal medicine, and general surgery (training programs in place since the 1930s) and maintains clinical affiliations with University of California Davis and University of the Pacific for selected programs. The hospital’s ambulatory network reports over 134,000 outpatient clinic visits per year and serves as a regional teaching and referral resource for San Joaquin County.
