Greater New York Anesthesia Services (GNYAS) is a physician-led anesthesia practice serving New York City and surrounding areas. Supported operationally by a strategic partnership between Mount Sinai Health System and U.S. Anesthesia Partners, GNYAS provides anesthesiologists and CRNAs to hospitals and ambulatory surgical centers (ASCs). The practice currently provides coverage at Mount Sinai-affiliated ASCs including Peakpoint Midtown West and Peakpoint Flatiron and New York Eye and Ear Infirmary of Mount Sinai, and is supporting expansion of services and clinician hiring in conjunction with Mount Sinai’s Department of Anesthesiology. GNYAS leadership includes Mount Sinai faculty (Jonathan Gal, MD, is identified as President) and the group uses a managed services organization for recruiting, revenue cycle, credentialing, and quality reporting.
