Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC) is the clinical arm of Columbia University and provides patient care through ColumbiaDoctors, the university faculty practice. CUIMC and ColumbiaDoctors together employ a large clinical faculty across more than 200 specialties and subspecialties, with academic programs housed in the Vagelos College of Physicians and Surgeons. Clinicians practice at CUIMC hospitals and ambulatory sites across the New York metropolitan area and are affiliated with NewYork-Presbyterian Hospital for inpatient care and advanced specialty services. The medical center supports medical education, residency and fellowship training, and research programs, and delivers high volumes of ambulatory visits and tertiary referral care in areas including cardiology, oncology, neurology, transplant, and complex surgical services.
