The Brooklyn Hospital Center (TBHC) is a 464-bed independent community teaching hospital in Downtown Brooklyn that provides inpatient, outpatient and ambulatory services across a network of family health centers and specialty clinics throughout Brooklyn. TBHC is a clinical affiliate of The Mount Sinai Hospital and an academic affiliate of the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. The hospital operates accredited residency programs in dentistry and oral and maxillofacial surgery, emergency medicine, family medicine, internal medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, pediatrics, pharmacy and surgery, and offers fellowships in cardiology, gastroenterology, hematology/oncology and pulmonary medicine. TBHC reports providing care to roughly 300,000 patients annually and maintains services including a Center for Critical Care, The Brooklyn Cancer Center, a heart center, and a broad ambulatory network.
